Horizon Announces $40m Series A Raise

Horizon have been steadily building products to benefit the future of gaming since 2017:

Sequence – all-in-one Web3 developer platform and smart wallet for Ethereum and EVM ecosystem
Skyweaver – a TCG where cards are collectable as NFTs; where 60% of users are new to Web3”
Niftyswap – the decentralised marketplace that makes trading semi-fungible tokens (SFTs), Web3 game items, and metaverse collectibles “instant, easy and secure”

The blockchain company makes “blockchain easy, fun and powerful for users and developers to drive the adoption of Web3 and its open, transparent and symbiotic economies.”

This week, they announced a $40m raise from investors including Ubisoft, Bitkraft Venture and Morgan Creek Digital. Check out their official press release here.

Atlantis World Releases Inaugural Product Update

Atlantis World, an upcoming Social MMO for Web3 culture and beyond released their first ever product update featuring art reveals as well as detailing progress on the game and blockchain development side of things. They are soon set to release their Atlanteans character NFT collection, in-game skins, and will be launching their alpha game in the coming month.

Japan’s PM Plans to Expand “Web 3.0 Services”

On October 3rd, Prime Minister Kishida gave a policy speech laying out the economic measures Japan will take in response to the current “national crisis” escalated by the current geopolitical climate.
A part of Japan’s growth strategy will involve “[promoting] efforts to expand the use of Web 3.0 services that utilise Metaverse and NFT.”
